How it works

   Choose 15, 30 or 60 seconds. The word stream regenerates to match the duration.

   Just start typing

   Click the arena and begin — the first keystroke starts the clock. Space commits the current word and Backspace edits it.

   Watch the colors

   Correct characters glow green, mistakes turn rose, and finished words are underlined if they were wrong.

   Get your results

   When time runs out (or the words run out), you get WPM, accuracy, consistency and correct/incorrect word counts, plus a personal-best check.

   Try again

   One click regenerates a fresh word stream and resets the clock.

Tips for better results

• 💡An empty Space can't skip a word — you have to actually type each one, so there's no gaming the counter.
• 💡Ctrl/⌘ and Alt shortcuts pass straight through to the browser and never count as keystrokes; paste is blocked too.
• 💡Accuracy matters as much as speed: the WPM formula only counts correct characters, so sloppy fast typing scores worse than clean typing.
• 💡Mistakes in a committed word are final — there's no going back, which is how real typing tests work.
• 💡Your best score per duration is saved locally; clearing site data resets it.
