How it works

   Allow microphone access

   Click Start recording and your browser asks for permission to use the microphone. Grant it once and you're set for future sessions.

   Speak while watching the waveform

   A timer counts up and the waveform reacts to your voice in real time. It's drawn from live audio analysis — purely visual, it doesn't affect the recording.

   Stop the take

   Press Stop when you're done. The recording is finalized in memory and an audio player appears below the waveform.

   Listen, then download or retake

   Play it back, check the duration and file size, then download the .webm — or hit reset and record a cleaner take.

Tips for better results

• 💡If permission was denied before, allow the microphone for this site in your browser's settings — the tool can't override a blocked permission.
• 💡The .webm/Opus file plays in most modern players; convert it with a dedicated app if you specifically need MP3 or WAV.
• 💡There's no pause — for multi-part memos, stop and start separate recordings.
• 💡Keep the tab open while recording; navigating away stops the take.
• 💡Long recordings are held in memory until downloaded, so save important takes promptly.
