How it works

   Set up your audio

   Toggle Include microphone if you want to narrate. Tab or system audio is handled separately: tick the Share audio checkbox in the browser's share dialog when it appears.

   Pick what to share

   Click Start recording and your browser opens its share dialog. Choose a tab, a window, or the whole screen, then confirm — the browser asks for permission first, which is normal.

   Record your take

   A pulsing REC badge and a running clock show the take is live. Click Stop recording when you're done, or press Stop sharing in the browser bar — both end the take cleanly.

   Preview and download

   The recording loads straight into the preview player with its duration and file size. Happy with it? Download the .webm. Not happy? Hit Clear and record again.

Tips for better results

• 💡Tab or system audio only lands in the file if you tick Share audio in the share dialog — the tool can't enable it afterwards.
• 💡Screen capture needs the getDisplayMedia API, so use a desktop Chrome, Edge, or Firefox over HTTPS — most mobile browsers don't support it.
• 💡If the microphone can't be opened, the tool tells you and keeps recording screen audio only instead of failing the whole take.
• 💡WebM is efficient, but long takes still grow fast — record in shorter chapters and download each one.
• 💡Closing or refreshing the tab discards the take, so download before you navigate away.
