How it works

   Enter the original price

   The pre-sale price in dollars.

   Drag the slider, tap a chip like 30%, or type an exact percentage.

   Optionally add tax

   Flip the tax switch and enter a rate — it's applied to the discounted price, not the original.

   Compare the numbers

   The “You pay” panel shows the discounted price; the tiles break out savings, the effective total with tax and the discount rate.

Tips for better results

• 💡Tax is computed on the discounted price (as most retailers do) — the note in the tool spells this out so receipts line up.
• 💡Stacked promos aren't one big discount: 20% then 10% is 28% off, not 30%. Enter 28 to see the true final price.
• 💡Type decimals like 12.5% for precision — the number field accepts them even though the slider moves in whole steps.
• 💡Leave tax off to compare sticker prices across shops, then turn it on for the true out-the-door total.
