How it works

   Pick a format and enter your value

   Choose CODE128 for general text or a retail format like EAN-13 for product codes. Each format shows a hint describing its valid characters, and the barcode redraws as you type.

   Tune the bars

   Adjust line width, bar height and margin with the sliders, and toggle the human-readable text line. The preview updates instantly after every change.

   Validate before you print

   If the value doesn't fit the chosen format, an inline message says exactly what's wrong and the last valid barcode stays on screen — nothing silently breaks.

   Download PNG or SVG

   Grab a PNG for labels and documents, or an SVG for packaging design. Files are named after the format and value, like barcode-ean13-4006381333931.png.

Tips for better results

• 💡Always test-scan one printed barcode with your actual scanner before printing a batch — printer DPI and label stock affect readability.
• 💡Keep the quiet zone: don't set the margin slider to 0 when the barcode will sit next to other ink on the label.
• 💡EAN-13 and UPC check digits are computed automatically when you enter the shorter length — no need to calculate them yourself.
• 💡Use SVG when the barcode will be resized in design software; PNG at the default size is fine for standard thermal labels.
• 💡Bars render on a white background on purpose — scanning against dark theme colors is unreliable, so the preview always shows the print reality.
